Synergy Box corner protections
DESCRIPTION OF THE CARDBOARD CORNER PROTECTORS
The corner protections are designed to protect the corners of flat envelopes, whether table tops, mirrors, solar panels where there is a need for impact absorption at the most critical point, the corner, which in the event of a fall is where all the energy of the impact is concentrated in a minimum surface.
Protection system based on the Synergy Box philosophy that physically joins two protection elements to improve their properties, creating an economical and very effective family of protections, the union is made with adhesives specifically developed for this purpose.
With its patented CARTOPAN model, Brafim demonstrated how two elements joined together improve their mechanical properties, as each one contributes what the other lacks, for example, the union of plastic film to an eps sheet provides flexibility to the point of bending, impossible with porexpan alone.
With many possibilities of combination of materials to better adapt to the customer’s needs. PATENTED MODEL.
BENEFITS OF CARDBOARD CORNER PROTECTIONS
- All products in this category can be adapted to various thicknesses.
- In addition, transport is minimized by more than 30%, which results in a substantial improvement of transport costs.
- Productivity on the line increases as they are pre-cut and no sealing is required.
- Shock absorption far superior to separate protection elements.
PROPERTIES OF CARDBOARD CORNER PROTECTORS
Synergy Box corner guards consist of an outer element, usually cardboard, and a soft inner element such as high-density expanded polystyrene or expanded polyethylene.
The combination of these elements achieves an excellent cost/quality/impact absorption ratio.
When we replace cardboard with cardboard-plastic, we achieve resistance to humidity for elements that are transported outdoors, such as glass, marble, etc.
We also improve abrasion resistance with the incorporation of non-woven fabrics that are very non-aggressive for lacquered or painted surfaces, etc.
On the other hand, using wood or multilayer cardboard elements instead of polystyrene, we achieve greater cushioning against blows from very heavy equipment.
For delicate elements, the use of polyethylene foam is recommended, as it offers good protection in situations where several drop tests need to be passed.
In addition to these materials, we also offer: Polystyrene foam (well known and economical material that allows us to offer a good performance for a first impact), Extruded Polystyrene foam (material very resistant to compression, more resistant than expanded Polystyrene), Polyurethane foam (porous material for delicate and low weight parts) and Honeycomb (material resistant to compression).
APPLICATIONS OF CARDBOARD CORNER PROTECTIONS
Synergy Box corner protectors are used as corner protectors for the furniture sector, window corner protectors, marble corner protectors, door corner protectors, but also for electronics, flat electrical equipment of all types, radiators, photovoltaic panels, etc.
